The China Clean Energy Vehicle Championship 2018 (CEVC) hit Shanghai's Jia­ding district on Wednesday, with over 10 leading Chinese new-­energy vehicle enterprises participating in the race, according to Knews.

As market demand for new-­energy vehicles grows rapidly in China, CEVC aims to present the true performance of mainstream Chinese electric cars to the public. New-­energy vehicle brands presented over 20 types of cars at the competition. The organizing committee divided the green vehicles into eight groups based on their sizes.

A senior manager from SAIC Motor said this competition not only allows consumers to closely observe the performance of the best Chinese new-­energy cars, but also enables mainstream Chinese new-­energy vehicle enterprises to compete, according to the report. CEVC is one of the most professional new-­energy vehicle competitions in China.
